Airy supports various types of robots operating in diverse ambient lighting conditions, enabling continuous operation around the clock and promoting intelligent robot applications across all scenarios.term, stable continuous operation.

Product Overview
Airy is the first digital hemispherical LiDAR on the R platform. Equipped with a chip-based transceiver solution and a high-sensitivity digital detection system, it offers an ultra-wide hemispherical field of view (FOV) of 360° horizontally and 90° vertically, covering a diameter of 120m. It boasts 1.72 million points per second and a detection accuracy of 1cm@1σ, enabling real-time detection of object size, contour, and distance. Its well-formed point cloud and algorithm-friendly design allow for excellent obstacle avoidance, mapping, and navigation tasks.

Airy is the industry’s first miniaturized, lightweight hemispherical digital LiDAR. Measuring only 60mm in diameter and 63mm in height, and weighing less than 240g, it saves space, facilitating robot design and deployment. Its power consumption of less than 8W contributes to long-term, stable continuous operation.
Airy is a new type of short-range 3D LiDAR specifically designed by RoboSenseto eliminate blind spots. It is primarily used in applications such as robot environmentperception, autonomous vehicle environment perception, drone mapping, and smartcities.
Airy adopts RoboSense innovative signal processing technology, allowing for aminimum detection distance as close as 10 centimeters. With its hemispherical ultra-wide field of view design, it can effectively detect various extremely close-rangeobstacles over a large area.
It mainly includes the following components:
- Protective Cover:Both the emitted laser and returned laser need to pass through the speciallydesigned arc-shaped protective cover. Therefore, any obstruction within the laser’s fieldof view (FOV) is strictly prohibited.
- Aviation Connector:The LiDAR body is connected to the interface box via an aviation connector, enablingpower supply and data transmission functionalities.
- Mounting Holes:Used to support and fix the position and orientation between the LiDAR and thebracket, it enhances installation efficiency and accuracy.
- M3 Screw Mounting Holes:Used to secure the LiDAR to the mounting bracket with M3 screws.

FOV Distribution
Airy-h and Airy-g’s FOV has a horizontal angular range of0 to 360 degrees and avertical angular range of 0 to 90 degrees, with an angular interval of approximately0.947 degrees. The 96 lasers are defined as 96 channels, and their correspondingrelationship with the real vertical angles is shown in Figure 2 .
The FOV of Airy-g in the horizontal direction ranges fiom 0 to 360 degrees, and inthe vertical direction from 0 to 45 degrees, with an angle interval of approximately0.947 degrees. The correspondence between the 48 channels and the actual verticalangles is shown in Figure 3
